How To Consign
Welcome to Eleanor's Fashions where you can find new and "just like new" clothing to fit all budgets and wardrobe requirements. Our consignment entrance is on the side of the building (easy access from the parking area). We want your consignment experience to be a happy one.

We accept consignment on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Appointments are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 9:00 a.m. Each visit is limited to ten items. All items must be on hangers to ensure they will be as wrinkle free as possible. All items must be clean and pressed. Please check your items for the following: broken zippers, missing buttons, ruined hems, spots, tears, soiled collars and cuffs. All items must be in "like new" condition and in current fashion. We are very fussy about items we accept and that is why our shoppers are so happy!

As of November, 2007, we are only accepting designer jeans.

Please understand that the appearance of our shop is important to customers. In fairness to all our consignors, who want their clothing shown in the best light, we cannot accept the following items:

  • Vintage Clothing
  • Pleated skirts or dresses
  • Polyester (current blends okay)
  • Formals with netting, bows, bibs
  • Lingerie
  • Wedding dresses /Wedding accessories
  • Dresses with belt hoops & no belts
  • Tie back vests or dresses
  • Suits with slacks or skirts
  • T-shirts
  • Denim of any kind

  • Logo items
  • Mohair, linen, distressed leather or denim
  • Plaid slacks, skorts or shorts
  • Rompers or jumpsuits. Also, no wide legged slacks
  • Sweaters w/gathered waists
  • Purses, shoes, belts-two per visit
  • Backpack purses
  • Our selling price limit is $10
We are also NOT accepting the following discount store labels:

  • Honors
  • Fruit of the Loom
  • Sostanza
  • Merona

  • Russel
  • Hanes
  • Highlights
  • Ellemeno
  • Basic Editions

Each consignor is assigned an account number. After scrutinizing each item, the sales price is established and the item is given an inventory number. Each consignor receives a copy of the signed contract, a computer generated consignor's list and policy information in the mail several days after consigning the items.

When you receive a payment for items sold, only item inventory numbers are listed. Therefore, it is very important to keep your computer consignor's list in a safe place so you can reconcile each item number. It is your responsibility to maintain your records.

Consignors receive 40% of the selling price if it is under $100.00. Items selling for more than $100.00 pay 50%.

Payouts are issued monthly. Payouts start on the 5th of each month for the month prior. For example, items selling during the month of November won't be paid out until December 5th. When checking on your account, always have your account number ready and the payout month you are checking on. Please note that payouts and account information are only available Monday through Friday between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m.

We encourage you to come into the shop to receive cash for your items but if you want a check mailed, please call to notify us.
